The National Senior Games Association is seeking bids to host the 2027 National Senior Games.
The National Senior Games Association’s premier event is the National Senior Games, a multi-sport, biennial competition for men and women over the age of 50. It is the largest multi-sport championship event in the world for seniors. The competition lasts 12 days. Here are the details.
Preferred Months: Late-May-early September
Intent to Bid Deadline: Dec. 1, 2023
Bid Deadline: Feb. 15, 2024
Attendees: 11,500+ athletes; 15,000+ friends and family
Room Nights: 20,000+
Economic Impact: $32 million
Venue Requirements: Multiple venues for National Events for at least 20 sports, including: Archery, Badminton, Basketball, Bowling, Cornhole, Cycling, Golf, Pickleball, Power Walk, Race Walk, Racquetball, Road Race, Shuffleboard, Soccer, Softball, Swimming, Table Tennis, Tennis, Track & Field, Triathlon, and Volleyball
Proposal Fee: The Host Community is required to make a total cash payment of $2,250,000 and an agreed upon additional investment of $500,000 through local efforts of budget relieving in-kind goods (BRIK) and services
