Dayton has hosted the prestigious U.S. Youth Soccer Midwest Regional Tournament twice, and annually hosts two of the nation’s largest amateur youth soccer tournaments, among others. The University of Dayton Arena has hosted more NCAA events than any other facility in the nation, including the annual NCAA Men’s Division I First Four Basketball Tournament. The Dayton Dragons Minor League Baseball team holds the national record for the most consecutive sold-out games of any professional sports team. Dayton has hosted events such as the LPGA, the USGA Senior Open, AAU and USSSA events, national bowling tournaments, regional youth volleyball, NCAA Championship Volleyball Tournaments, numerous mat sport tournaments, and regional basketball and hockey tournaments, to name a few. The Dayton Convention Center is conveniently located in downtown Dayton, a 20-minute drive from the Dayton International Airport and a 15-minute drive from the “Crossroads ofAmerica” (the intersections of 75 N/S and 70 E/W). The Center is attached to a 1,500-space parking garage and the nearly 300-room Crowne Plaza Dayton. Dayton Convention Center has an excellent track record of hosting a variety of youth and amateur sports events such as volleyball, cheer and dance, numerous mat sports and WGI Sport of the Arts. The Center provides special offers including free room rentals, though some restrictions may apply.

Oak Grove Park
Oak Grove Park is conveniently located off of interstates 75 and 675. The 103-acre park provides 20 to 34 soccer fields, five baseball diamonds, an archery range, three tennis courts, a dog park where agility courses can be set up, restrooms, free parking, drinking fountains, paved and multi use fitness trails with two types of outdoor exercise equipment, a pond and a dock for fishing, two playgrounds, and picnic shelters with grills and benches. It should be noted that the greater Dayton area offers a total of 112 soccer fields all within a10-to 20-minute drive of each other. These fields are ideal for soccer, lacrosse, field hockey, dog agility and Ultimate Frisbee competitions.
