2016 Game Changers: Gaby Pozo

Gaby Pozo
Race Director, Continental Event and Sports Management Group

If it seems Gaby Pozo is always ahead of the pack, it’s because she usually is. Participants run toward whatever race or event program Pozo touches, be it the Miami Marathon and Half Marathon she co-founded or the Divas Half Marathon & 5K Series for which she has served as race director since 2011.

“The [Divas] series has eclipsed all other similar events with its glam, seas of pink and overall girl power,” says Robert Pozo, Continental’s president and CEO. “Gaby is a true industry leader in the world of race and event production.”

Robert may be a bit biased discussing his wife, but the facts prove him correct. With more than 40,000 annual participants, Divas is the largest women’s event series of its kind in the country, generating thousands of room nights and millions of dollars in each city in which it takes place.

Communities from San Francisco to Long Island, New York, consider Divas events staples on their events calendar. Its next move is to Canada, where an event is on the books for June 2017 at Toronto Island.
