Up for Bid: 2017 and 2018 NAIA Women’s Division I Basketball National Championship

The National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics is currently seeking proposals to host its 2017 and 2018 Division I Women’s Basketball National Championship. The 32-team, single-elimination tournament is held over a week in mid-March.

Here are the details:

Deadline to Bid: February 15, 2016

Time of Year: Mid-March

Venue Requirements: Single arena with seating capacity of between 4,000 and 6,000; five locker room/dressing rooms; several practice sites.

Estimated Number of Participants and Fans: 600-700 players, coaches & staff; 25,000 fans

Hotel Requirements: Centrally located with the ability to host several meetings and a 600-700 person banquet.

Room Block: 350

Rate:  $90-$115

Rights Fee: $30,000 (minimum)
