Up for Bid: 2017 and 2018 NAIA Competitive Cheer and Dance National Championships

The National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics is currently seeking proposals to host both its 2017 and 2018 Competitive Cheer and Dance National Championships. The event is held in mid-March between a Thursday and Saturday. Twelve dance teams (maximum of 16 athletes per team) and 12 cheer teams (maximum of 20 competitors) will compete.

Deadline to Bid: December 1

Time of Year: Mid-March

Venue Requirements:

Full-basketball court size with dimensions with governing playing rules. Cheer should have 9 strips of 42 feet x 54 feet matting. Must have seating for a minimum of 1,000 spectators.

Number of participants: 540

Number of spectators: 1,200

Hotel requirements: Must be 15 minutes from event venue

Room block: 250

Rate: $80-$100

Rights Fee: TBD
