Up for Bid: 2017 PDGA Amateur and Junior Disc Golf World Championships

The Professional Disc Golf Association is currently seeking proposals to host its 2017 Amateur and Junior Disc Golf World Championships. The week long international event is held in mid-July and is limited to qualified amateur and junior disc golfers who compete for world championship titles in multiple age and gender based divisions. It is expected to draw between 500 and 800 competitors.

Here are the details:

Deadline to bid: January 29, 2016

Time of year: Mid-July

Venue requirements: Five or more 18-hole championship caliber courses located within 30 miles of event epicenter. Additional meeting space as required

Number of participants: 500-800

Hotel requirements: Centrally located between courses, large space for banquets and receptions, additional space as required by event specifics

Room block: More than 1,000

Suggested Rate: $100/night
