Up for Bid: Crossfit Games Regional Events

CrossFit, Inc., is currently looking for hosts for its regional CrossFit Games in 2017.

The CrossFit Games regional events will take place in eight cities over three consecutive weeks during a month-long window. Each event draws more than 5,000 spectators per day and 260 athletes. Additionally, the events bring additional attention through streaming content throughout each weekend.

Here are the details:

Deadline: Letter of interest is due Sept. 30, 2016; Full proposal due Oct. 15.For 2018 & 2019 the bid process will remain open and bids may be awarded at any time.

Time of year: May 9-15; May 16-22; May 23-29; May 30-June 5

Venue requirements: Hockey/basketball venues; convention center; seating for 4,000. Willing to discuss temporary options.

Estimated number of athletes: 260

Estimated number of spectators: More than 5,000 per day at each event.

Hotel requirements: 2-3 hotels

Rate: Flexible

Rights fee: $25,000 cash or services in-kind
