Up for Bid: NCAA Championships

The NCAA is seeking bids for 84 of 90 championships during academic years 2018-19 through 2021-22, plus a few select events in 2017-18. More than 500 sites and hosts will be announced later this year. 

Here are the details:

Deadline to bid: August 12, 2016 and to submit a bid go to championships.ncaa.org.

Time of year: Fall, winter and spring

Venue requirements: Vary by championship

Estimated number of participants: Ranges from 200 to 50,000

Hotel requirements: Competitively priced, full service hotels are preferred.

Room nights: Total as part of the overall package is more than 150,000 per year

Rate: Division I – $149

Division II – $128

Division III – $119

Rights fee: None
