Up for Bid: USA Fencing’s 2018 Elite & Wheelchair Championship and North American Cup

USA Fencing is currently seeking proposals to host its Elite & Wheelchair Championship and North American Cup in April 2018. The four-day competition (Friday-Monday) features 2,200 athletes competing Division 1, Division 2, cadet and team events.

Here are the details:

Deadline to bid: August 1, 2016

Time of year: April 18-23, 2018

Venue requirements: 180,000-200,000 continuous square feet; risers with seating for at least 250 spectators; four to 10 meeting rooms

Estimated number of participants: 2,200 attendees

Hotel requirements: Walking distance to venue.

Room nights: Attendee: 2,200; Staff: 435

Rate: $99-$129
