Up for Bid: USA Fencing’s 2018 National Championship and July Challenge

USA Fencing is currently seeking proposals to host its National Championship & July Challenge in late June/early July 2018. The 10-day competition features more than 4,000 athletes competing over 10 days in Youth, Division 2, Division 3, Division 1A, Senior Team and Veteran events in the national championship and Division 1, Junior and Cadet events in the July challenge. Outstanding bids will be considered as received.

Here are the details:

Deadline to bid: August 1, 2016

Time of year: June 26-July 7, 2018 (flexible)

Venue requirements: 230,000-250,000 continuous square feet; risers with seating for at least 250 spectators; four to 10 meeting rooms

Estimated number of participants: 4,000

Hotel requirements: Walking distance to venue.

Room nights: Attendee: 9,080; Staff: 1,450

Rate: $99-$129
