Up for Bid: USA Weightlifting 2017 National Juniors

USA Weightlifting is currently seeking bids to host its 2017 National Junior championship. The event is expected to draw 400 athletes and about 600 spectators.

Here are the details:

Deadline to bid: March 18

Preferred dates: Late February

Venue requirements: 35,000 square feet of flexible competition space; seating for 600 spectators (preferably raised); breakout rooms; Wi-Fi

Estimated number of participants: 400

Hotel requirements: Near airport; walking distance to venue

Room nights: 1,200

Rate: $119 or less

Rights fee: $5,000
