Connect Sports is excited to present to you the latest events in the world of Team USA. Here is what to look for May 8-14.

USA Weightlifting

Event: 2017 National Championship

The national championship is USA Weightlifting’s premier event of the year. Last year, it was held in conjunction with the Olympic Trials. This year, it is the final opportunity to qualify for the Pan American Championship.

When: May 11-14

Where: Westin Lombard Yorktown Center; DuPage County, Illinois

Participants: 400

Spectators: 500 on-site; 40,000 online

USA Volleyball

Event: 2017 Collegiate Beach Championships

The competition field will consist of 24 women’s pairs and eight men’s pairs, playing for the title which will earn them a spot on a USA Volleyball collegiate beach national team. NBCSN will air the women’s final live on May 13 from 6-7:30 p.m. ET, and immediately afterward the taped-delayed men’s final.

When: May 11-13

Where: Hermosa Beach, California

Participants: 48 women; 16 men

Spectators: 500
