USA Bobsled & Skeleton

Event: National Team Trials

USA Bobsled & Skeleton athletes compete in Lake Placid for two weekends at the beginning of October to determine National Team rosters.

When: Oct. 1-19

Where: Mt. Van Hoevenberg Bobsled Track; Lake Placid, NY

Participants: 40

Spectators: 5,000

Up for bid again: 2018

USA Boxing

Event: 2017 Eastern Elite Qualifier & Regional Open Championships

This open tournament for males and female boxers  is the final opportunity for the elite division boxers to qualify to the national championships in Salt Lake City, Utah later this year. The top two elite boxers in each weight class secure their spot.

When: October 15-21

Where: Chattanooga Convention Center; Chattanooga, Tennessee

Participants: 700+

Spectators: N/A
