Up for Bid: NCAA College Basketball Academy for Girls
Submit your interest to bid on the NCAA's first College Basketball Academy for Girls by Nov. 7. The event occurs in July 2023.
The NCAA invites interested cities to submit a bid proposal to host the first College Basketball Academy for Girls. This event creates an educational and basketball experience for girls basketball prospective student athletes from across the country. Approximately 500 girls plus their chaperone will participate in this NCAA supported event.
Educational sessions include, recruiting process, transition to college, NIL and other life skills. The basketball component consists of skill instruction and team competitions. This is a permissible evaluation event for NCAA Women’s Basketball coaches to attend. A host interest form as well as bid specifications can be found attached or at www.ncaa.org/bids.

Deadline to Bid: Host interest form is due on Nov. 7, 2022; Completed RFPs due Jan. 18, 2023
Time of Year: July 25-30, 2023
Room Nights: 850 + 500 for college coaches
Attendees: Breakdown follows:
- 500 Academy prospective student-athletes
- 500 chaperones, one per Participant.
- 100 Academy coaches
- 200 Academy officials.
- 200 Academy volunteers.
- Numerous Division I, II & III Women’s Basketball coaches
Venue Requiremens A range of 225,000 – 400,000 square feet of first-class exhibit space. The venue shall be cleaned, lighted, and have heating/air conditioning, and shall be compliant with all applicable laws, rules and regulations (including ADA and similar regulations). Ancillary event space includes a large meeting room (500-1,000 people), five breakout rooms (125 people), and dining facilities for 750 attendees.
