Crown Complex

The $55 million Crown Complex has hosted NBA games, pro boxing matches, NHL exhibition games and others. Located directly on Interstate 95 Business, this multiuse complex offers two buildings for sports events, including the state-of-the-art Crown Coliseum that opened in October 1997. With seating for 13,500, this versatile facility can host ice hockey, arena football, boxing, rodeos and high school, college and professional basketball games and tournaments.

Another building is Crown Arena, which seats up to 5,000 and can host a wide variety of athletic competitions such as wrestling, basketball, cheerleading and soccer tournaments.

Arnette Park

A popular place for walking and jogging, this 100-acre park offers a combination of developed facilities and natural woodlands that overlook the Cape Fear River. Picnic pavilions, ball fields and more make this a popular gathering spot for families and large groups. The 1-mile-long perimeter road is ideal for biking and walking. Amenities include baseball fields, sand volleyball courts, a concession stand, horseshoe pits, disc-golf areas, picnic pavilions, a playground, tennis courts and nature trails.
