UW Health Sports Factory
The approximately 108,000-sq.-ft.indoor sports complex features flexible floor space for eight basketball courts or 16 volleyball courts and more, with a building capacity of 3,000 people. Other sports such as gymnastics, pickle ball, badminton and table tennis can also be accommodated. The UW Health Sports Factory name symbolizes the history of the site as it was once the former Ingersoll factory located in the heart of a major manufacturing hub in Rockford. The shell of the former factory still remains in place today. The 179-acre Mercyhealth Sportscore One facility, located along the Rock River, features eight premier soccer fields, nine regulation soccer fields and eight lighted softball diamonds complete with concession stands, restrooms, locker facilities and boat ramps. Other recreational activities that can be hosted here include Ultimate Frisbee, running, biking, boating and fishing. There are also two playgrounds for families to enjoy. Mercyhealth Sportscore Two hosts soccer, rugby, pickleball, ultimate, football, basketball and adapted sports. Located on a sprawling 180 acre campus, the venue has 26 soccer fields (including 6 turf/lighted fields), 6 indoor fields and multi-sports surfaces and 3 outdoors and volleyball courts. Mercyhealth Sportscore Two is designed for year-round tournaments, camps and leagues. It also includes a playground and a brand new 4,500-sq-ft concession and restroom building with ample parking, convenient for families. Mercyhealth Sportscore Two is also home to Wedgbury Stadium, which seats 2,500 spectators and has hosted state high school soccer finals, pro football games, national rugby finals, and college rugby championships. The Mercyhealth Indoor Sports Center (ISC) is a 200,000+ square foot facility located on the Mercyhealth Sportscore Two campus, and includes space for six indoor soccer fields. Moreover, the recent addition of Field 3 represents the equivalent of a full-size soccer field playable to 75x120 yards with 80’ ceilings, providing a unique solution for customers of all kinds.
