What I do: As the sports world continues to expand in Las Vegas, the LVCVA is faced with an opportunity to capitalize on this new evolution of the destination. My role is to create and execute strategies that promote tourism to Las Vegas through this vertical, as well as showcasing and promoting the destination to sports fans worldwide while claiming the crown as the “The Sports and Entertainment Capital of the World.”

How I got here: The role of the LVCVA is to drive “heads in beds” and I was fortunate enough to have worked for the hotel/casino industry for 12 years in advertising. From there, I landed a position with Las Vegas Events (a private arm of the LVCVA), then Las Vegas Motor Speedway, and now the LVCVA. Due to these positions, I was able to understand the hotel side, the events side, and the sanctioning body/venue side which provided me with the framework needed to rebuild and refocus the LVCVA’s sports marketing department to align with the mission of driving tourism.

What’s next? Las Vegas is focusing on the 2022 NFL Draft, as well as bringing numerous NCAA Championships to the destination in 2022 and beyond. We have also developed a youth development working group with our municipalities to grow that vital sports business segment for Clark County.

What I do outside of work: I volunteer for the Games Management Regional Team for Special Olympics of Southern Nevada and the Games Management State Team for Special Olympics. I serve as the vice president for our Women in Sports and Events Las Vegas Chapter. I also am an avid golfer, reader and die-hard Michael Bolton fan!
