Main Event: Columbia Invitational Memorial Day Tournament – More than 750 teams were accepted into our 2021 tournament and were distributed among 28 venues and 60 fields.

How I got here: I interned with Elite Tournaments while I was a senior in high school and, as a result, they offered me a part-time position to work within the office and during event weekends while I was in college studying sport management at Towson University. I became the event operations manager directly out of school. It’s been a little under a year in that position and I wouldn’t trade this opportunity for anything!

What I did to assist the sports tourism recovery during COVID: I developed and continue to update all of our COVID return to play documentation to ensure that we are not only compliant with the local government but also our facility contacts and local parks and recreation.

Impressive stats: Elite has hosted a total of 17 events in five different states since the pandemic and has a full schedule slated for 2021 that should get us back on track to surpass 40 events per calendar year.

What’s next? We are expanding back into lacrosse as we have partnered with the IWLCA for the next four years to manage their recruiting tournament series across the country. We are also excited to continue to grow our events and expand our outreach through our newest clients LaLiga, Celtic International and the Elite Academy League.
