Up for Bid: 2019-2021 AAU Girls’ 6th Grade Basketball National Championships

AAU is currently seeking proposals to host its 2019-2021 Girls’ 6th Grade Division I, II & III National Basketball Championships. The five-day event draws at least 33 teams per division. AAU prefers bids to host the event all three years.

Here are the details:

Time of year: Last week of June/month of July

Deadline to Bid: April 1

Venue requirements: 6-10 basketball courts; Courts must have a minimum seating of 250 and the finals competition venue must seat 2,500

Estimated number of attendees:  About 700 athletes; 1,500 family members and fans

Hotel Requirements: Located within 10 minutes of competition venue

Hotel Rate: $129 or less

Rights Fee: $20,000 per year
