Up for Bid: 2020-2021 MCLA National Championships

The Men’s Collegiate Lacrosse Association is requesting a proposal for hosting the 2020 and 2021 MCLA National Championships, which will feature two, 16-team tournaments that will run from Monday through Saturday, May 11-16. MCLA is accepting one and two-year contract offers. The 2021 dates are May 10-15.

Here are the details.

Deadline to Bid: Nov. 22, 5 p.m. PST

Dates: May 11-16, 2020; May 10-15, 2021

Venue Requirements: Facility must be able to host four simultaneous games along with a championship stadium field (seating for 1,200) that will host the semifinals and final; 5-7 game and practice fields in one location; must be located within one hour of national airport that caters to major airlines.

Number of attendees: 3,200-4,400 athletes, plus families, friends and spectators

Hotel requirements: 8 or more hotel properties at various price points

Room Nights: About 1,350 room nights over 3 nights
