Up for Bid: 2020 Softball Players Association Senior World Championships

The Softball Players Association is seeking bids to host its 2020 Senior World Championships. The event, held annually in September, draws more than 50 teams and, in many years, has reached as many as 150 teams. Here are the details.

Deadline to Bid: Nov. 9

Time of Year: First, second and/or third week of September

Venue Requirements: 10 softball fields with outfield fence distances not less than 300 feet for men’s Championships and 250 feet for women.

Estimated number of participants: At least 800

Hotel requirements: Within 30 minutes of competition site; must be able to offer approximately 600 rooms in no more than 10  properties

Room nights: 1,800

Suggested Rate: Negotiable
