Up for Bid: 2020 Synchronized Skating Sectional Championships

U.S. Figure Skating is currently seeking proposals to host its 2020 Synchronized Skating Sectional Championships. The events draws between 100 and 200 teams each. Here are the details:

Deadline to Bid: June 1, 2018

Preferred Dates: Jan. 15-19, 2020; Secondary Dates: Jan. 22-26, 2020

Venue Requirements: Seating for 3,500 – 6,000 and an ice sheet measuring at least 85’ x 185’; Either a secondary arena for competition use with seating for 2,000 OR other ice rinks that can be used for practice ice.

Estimated Number of Athletes: 100-200 teams (8-20 members)

Hotel Requirements: At least one “official” hotel in close proximity to the competition arena

Hotel Rate: $119 or less

Room Nights: 2,000 per night on peak
