Up for Bid: 2021 Junior Olympic Fencing Championships

USA Fencing is currently seeking proposals to host its 2021 Junior Olympic National Championships. The 4-day (Friday through Monday) competition will attract more than 2,600 athletes (junior high school through college), as well as 1,000 spectators.

Here are the details:

Deadline to bid: Nov. 1, 2019

Time of year: Feb. 10-15, 2021

Venue requirements: 200,000 continuous square feet; minimum ceiling of 16 feet; facility must be able to accommodate 12 competition areas and 1 finals area; risers with seating for at least 500 spectators; four to 10 meeting rooms

Estimated number of participants: 2,600-2,800

Hotel requirements: Walking distance to venue; meeting space for 20-person board meeting and seating for 40 spectators.

Room nights: Attendee: 2,410; Staff: 522

Rate: $109-$129
