Up for Bid: 2019 OneHockey Holiday Invite

OneHockey is seeking proposals to host its Holiday Invite in late December 2019. As is the case with the 2018 event being held in Michigan, OneHockey is attempting to break the Guinness Book of World Records by hosting the largest youth ice hockey tournament. OneHockey will need at least 60 ice surfaces to accommodate 800 teams competing in the tournament. The venues may be spread out over different U.S. states and Canadian provinces.

Here are the details:

Deadline to Bid: Sept. 1

Time of Year: Dec. 27-29, 2019

Venue Requirements: At least 60 rinks—can be spread out over multiple states/provinces.

Estimated number of attendees: 13,600 athletes (boys and girls across six age levels); 3,000 coaches; 50,000 spectators

Hotel requirements: Within 20-minute drive of arena

Room nights: 27,000 total (470 per ice surface)

Rate: $110-$200; will be negotiated by a third-party group
