Up for Bid: 2021 and 2022 NAIA Competitive Cheer and Dance Championships

The National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA) is currently seeking proposals to host its Competitive Cheer and Dance National Championships in 2021 and 2022. The two-day event (Friday through Saturday) draws more than 1,600 athletes and fans.

Here are the details:

Deadline to Bid: June 1, 2019

Time of year: March 12-13, 2021; March 11-12, 2022

Venue requirements: Cheer must have 9 strips carpeted matting equaling 42 feet x 54 feet (1 3/8 inch thick). Dance should have a wood or marley floor with dimensions 40 feet x 53 feet; must have separate warm-up space; seating for 750 spectators. 

Estimated number of participants and fans: 450 athletes; 1,200 fans

Hotel requirements: Within 15 minutes of venue and space for 600-person banquet

Room block: 250

Rate: $90-$115

Rights Fee: $3,000
