Up for Bid: USA Gymnastics 2022 U.S. Classic

USA Gymnastics is currently seeking proposals to host its 2022 U.S. Classic. The U.S. Classic is a national level event with two competitions conducted at the same time in the same venue. The U.S. Classic competition acts as the national qualifier for the junior and senior elite level athletes to the U.S. Gymnastics Championships. These are the top female and male gymnasts in the USA. The Hopes Championship competition is for the pre-elite level athletes and serves as their culminating competition of the season. A host city can anticipate a delegation size of approximately 300-400. Here are the details: 

Deadline to bid: Sept. 2, 2021 

Time of year: July 26-Aug. 1, 2022

Venue requirements: Competition Hall, and training hall preferred (85’ wide x 200’ long, 40’ minimum ceiling height for each); seating for 8,000 preferred

Estimated number of participants: Approximately 350

Room nights: 865

Hotel requirements: Centrally located near airport and venue; All hosts and hotels are required to work with Shorts Travel Management Company

Hotel rate: $150 of less
