Up for Bid: USA Swimming’s 2020-21 TYR Pro Swim Series

USA Swimming is seeking bids to host its 2020-21 TYR Pro Swim Series events. The 3.5-day meets (Wednesday through Saturday) will be held at a minimum of five destinations between January and June each year. Each series stop features 400-600 athletes. All events will be televised on the NBC Sports Network and live-streamed at usaswimming.org. USA Swimming will award 2020 and 2021 together, except for January 2020. Here are the details.

Venue Requirements: 8-lane 50-meter competition pool, plus an 8-lane warm-up pool; Seating for minimum of 8000, plus seating for 800 on deck; minimum 30’x 30’ space for merchandise sales

Number of Attendees: 400-600; 4,000+ spectators

Hotel Requirements: Approximately 50 room nights for National Team Athletes and staff at a Marriott property

Room Nights: 1,000+ per event each year (4,000+ for the entire series)

Rights Fee: $20,000 minimum per year.
