Grand Park Events Center in Westfield, Indiana
, made its grand entrance last weekend, adding “unlimited” potential to an already impressive complex.
The much-anticipated opening is the second indoor facility—behind Jonathan Byrd’s Fieldhouse
—to debut this year at the 400-acre Grand Park Sports Campus
Three professional soccer fields are the main attraction at the nearly 380,000-sq.-ft. events center
. Among the amenities are meeting rooms and a family-dining restaurant. An on-site workout room and retail options are in the works.
Combined, both the field house—a basketball and volleyball facility—and events center should cement the massive complex that opened in 2014 as a year-round destination.
“The potential for the space is unlimited,” William Knox, director of Hamilton County Sports Authority
, said in a statement. “We’re excited to begin exploring the possibilities of hosting a wide variety of events.”
Beyond sports, the events center is already being eyed for trade shows and conventions.
Tournaments and events draw more than 1.5 million visitors annually to Grand Park Sports Campus, which sports 26 baseball and softball diamonds and 31 multipurpose fields for soccer, football and lacrosse.
The 180-room Grand Park Hotel will open on the complex’s premises in the fall.
