The National Horseshoe Pitchers Association is currently seeking proposals to host the 2022 NHPA World Championships. The event is held over two weeks in mid-July to early-August. It is expected to draw more than 1,000 participants and 5,000-6,000 spectators. Here are the details: Deadline to Bid: Jan. 1, 2020 Time of Year: Can start the second week of July and end no later than the first week of August Venue Requirements: 50,000-60,000 square feet of unobstructed, indoor, climate-controlled space with minimum ceiling height of 20 feet. WiFi and electricity. Meeting room to hold approximately 200 members and delegates. Number of attendees: Approximately 1,000-1,600 pitchers; 5,000-6,000 spectators Hotel requirements: Ample, affordable hotels and campgrounds within reasonable distance from venue Room Rate: $110-125 Room Nights: Approximately 550 on peak Bid Fee: $21,000 For the complete RFP, click here.
