USA Triathlon is seeking a host for its multi-competition event in 2026 and beyond. RFPs are due April 30.
USA Triathlon is seeking bids to hosts its Multisport National Championships Festival in 2022 and beyond. The NGB aims for the host to commit to hosting two consecutive years with the goal of returning six-to-eight years later. This event will welcome more than 7,000 visitors (3,000 athletes and over 4,500 spectators based on historical numbers) from all fifty states
Here are the details.
Deadline to Bid: April 30, 2024 (2026-27 timelines); August 30, 2024 (2028-29 timeline)
Time of Year: Between April and October
Venue Requirements: Adequate space for swim start/finish, transition area, finish line, athlete recovery area, spectator viewing, parking and race expo. Venue should not be more than 20 minutes’ drive from hotels. No split transition area.
Number of attendees: 3,000 athletes and over 4,500 spectators
Hotel requirements: Should be able to service athletes plus staff, friends, family, spectators, and sponsors. Meeting space fitting up to 1,500 for awards ceremony.
Rate: $90-$300/night
Rights Fee: $60,000 ($30,000 per year)
Projected Economic Impact: $3,261,000
